Millpond Ink Musing – Our Daily Manna

If I could only see how I am seen; to know myself as I am known.

While it may be profitable to apply that thought to fellow man for the sake of earthly gain, it is far more excellent to seek such insight from God! Of course, many would not ask this; not if they feared the answer is they are seen and known to be as filth, but if such a thought accuses you— abandon it, and in faith, run to the cross. Do not tarry. Go! Your Redeemer awaits!

But you, professing Christian! Child of God! Why would you not ask? Would you not want to see your beauty; as you are seen by Him? Are you not curious to know the love and affection that God has for you in that He sent His only Son to earth, as a man…born of the dust but never to return. Do you not know that He took you back with Him to inhabit eternity? Can you not see, as Isaiah, the throne and the length of His robe that you touched as did the woman who could not stop the flow?

Do you not want to know, however dim your sense may be of it now, the delight that Christ places in you Today and has found in you from everlasting? Can you by faith, even as it is true of God, call those things that are not as though they were? Are you, or are you not this day, hidden in Christ and at the Father’s right hand? Did your faith and sight stop at the cross or did you not follow in Jesus His ascension into heaven?

O, Christian, lift up your eyes and ask to see what is seen; to know what our Father sees and knows of us. Ask for your daily manna; if not a double portion.
